Red Sun Warnings & Dreams

Red Sun in the Morning -- Take Warning! What storm do you see coming if nothing changes over the next five years?

The traditional rhymes are

"Red sky in the morning, sailor or farmer; take warning. Red sky at night, sailor's or farmer's delight!"

Red Sun at Night-- Well... All Right!

Forget the storms -- what bright future do you want to see in the next five years?

The beginning of changing things can be seeing or predicting what will be if nothing -- no one's behavior -- changes. It is a basic exercise in a search conference

Taking stock, taking a measure of your past, present and anticipated future is much the same as looking to the sky to see what today or the next day will bring. To create a positive future, you have to "see" what you'd like to see in the future and what others also want to see. It's your most desired future -- not how you'd get there but what it will be like when you arrive.
